She’s a burning fire, fire and the flame

She longs to tell us that love & sacred wisdom are the same

They are one and the same.

On this ritual day that is celebrated both by publicly and Tantricly all across India, we will be working with fire and honouring the beginnings of this cycle of rising light in the garden of nature.

She is climbing brighter with each breath as the brightening New Year we are in breaths on.

The Ritual of Lohri is an annual ritual day of fire and light that welcomes the sun moving into the constellation of Makara (Capricorn).

Working with fire and light are the essence of Lohri.

We will work with both an outer and inner flame.

It is understood my Tantric’s as the best time to work the Yog of fire, as the Saturnian Crocodle of the Makara constellation provides a deep cooling underground base from which the fire can rise.

The solar plexus Chakra is the fiery center of our being that we will be working with in this ritual as we delve into to the magical mysteries of fire.

By honouring nature, she in turn honours us, and like a rising flame, she brings life to the seeds that lay in the soil of our soul.

Nature is planting us,

we are her seed.

flowers could bloom.

In this growth ritual of the goddess of the flame, we will tune into and focus upon nature’s atmospheric vibrations or rising light.

We shall engage in ancient and magical Yogic ritual formulae, that are prescribed for this day of Lohri.

Tantra is for the sacred flower of the heart. The way of Tantra can help us to bring growth to all the flowers and vegetation that yearn like gardens in the night.

Loh means light and gives its name to this festival day of welcoming back the light

Lohri is the Goddess that stands between the thresholds of Darkness and Light. We will attempt to invoke her healing heat and light.

On Lohri, fires are traditionally built and and circumambulated at sunset. Group Rituals that honour the queen of flame are undertaken. Her fire heals,

We will follow suit in this ritual and bow to the sacred mysteries of fire.

For the ritual altar on this night, please have a candle, as we will be working with the sacred fire and light of the Goddess Lohri.

Ancient Tantra

These ancient Tantric healing circles come from a left hand line of Indian Tantra, rare to find even in India today. You will take part in a sacred Yogic tradition that roots itself in Indian lineage handed down orally between generations of Yogis, Babas, Sadhus and Fakirs.
You will be exposed to the old Tantric ways of profound healing and spiritual practice, including practicing in darkly-lit spaces and awakening the senses to the body’s subtle energy currents, holding simple postures for long periods of time, and engaging in powerful breath-work and inner and outer Mantra to open-up the body and take the mind into altered states of consciousness.
The practice draws on postures seldom used in modern styles of yoga, ancient sequences that honour the mother and the feminine, gently opening-up the body to its highest levels of flexibility.
Integral to this work is the exploration of sound-currents present in the body, perhaps one of Yoga’s greatest secrets and one of the most powerful vehicles through which the Karmic. patterns stored in the Chakras can be accessed and resolved.

Boonath in Bhandgiriasan

The practice usually takes place in the dark or darkly-lit spaces.
